Locations

Local Market Context in Vancouver

Vancouver sees more high karat jewellery than most Canadian cities. Many customers bring home 21K to 24K pieces from family trips or moves from South Asia, East Asia and the Middle East. We welcome that variety and handle it with care so you feel confident that your heirlooms and investment items are understood and priced properly.

High karat hallmarks you might see
Common marks include 21K or 875, 22K or 916, 23K or 958, and 24K or 999. We verify these with non destructive tests you can watch. High karat alloys are softer and can include solder or interior parts that are a lower karat. Our job is to confirm the true average purity so the payout matches the gold that is actually present.

Investment bars and coins
Customers often bring tael or tola bars, 24K bangles, and modern bullion with assay cards. We check seals, serial numbers, and weights, and we explain how a broken seal or wear can affect resale value. If a bar or coin is best sold as bullion rather than melt, we will say so and outline both options with clear numbers.

Bangles chains and sets
Some traditional pieces are hollow or include springs and joints. Others are solid and very high purity. We identify non gold components, estimate or measure any deductions, and record them on your ticket so the calculation is easy to follow. If a set has cultural or family significance, we can price each item separately so you can choose what to keep and what to sell.

Plain language on purity
It is common to see a 22K stamp that tests a little lower because of solder or mixed parts. When that happens we will show you the reading and explain the impact in troy grams and verified karat. The goal is accuracy you can see, not guesswork based on a stamp.

Respectful service every step
We work with customers who speak many languages in Vancouver and we take extra time when an item has a story you want to share. Bring any receipts or certificates. We will check ID, follow compliance rules, and offer same day payment options that suit your needs. Whether you arrive with a single 24K bangle or a travel pouch of mixed pieces, you will leave knowing exactly how we reached the offer and why it fits the local market.
