Our prices are based on market value for the precious metal content of your jewellery. That involves three distinct factors:
- The first is the current value of the precious metal (gold, silver or platinum) on the commodities market. The higher the current value, the more we offer.
- The second is the purity of the precious metal in the jewellery. As an example, at the same weight, a 24 karat gold ring will be worth more than a 10 karat gold ring.
- The third factor is the amount, or weight, of the precious metal in the item of jewellery. Obviously, the more of the metal there is, the more we can offer.
As for jewellery with diamonds and gemstones, we do often offer to purchase these as well but they require a separate assessment (also free and no-obligation). Alternately, we can remove the diamonds or gemstones from your jewllery if you wish to keep them or have them reset into new jewellery.
And lastly, we do buy watches from our customers, but only high end luxury timepieces by manufacturers such as Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Piguet, etc.
